Broadway & Wilder: You used to be cool One thing I really liked about living on South is going to Broadway & Wilder (B&W) some nights to get buffalo chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, and the other food they have on their menu. That was last year...
This year, they seem to be out of stuff all the time. I don't know if the person that ordered new food shipments changed or what, but they always seem to be out of something.
The first week of school, I was pumped up about getting some buffalo chicken fingers, something I had missed all summer while at home. I went there the second day of classes, and ordered some. "Sorry, we don't have any left." Okay, that's fine. It's only the second day of classes; maybe they just didn't anticipate the demand. On Thursday of the second week of classes, I went back looking for fingers again, and I got the same story. Maybe the shipment of food got delayed or something. No big deal, right? I'll just get some mozzarella sticks. Nope, they were out of them too.
We're in the third full week of classes now, so I thought surely I would be able to get some buffalo chicken fingers. Surely they would have them by now, but nope, they didn't. I had to settle for regular chicken fingers because they were out of buffalo sauce. Out of buffalo sauce?! I mean really, what kind of restaurant doesn't keep extra condiments on hand in case their one jug of the stuff runs out.
See, I didn't have these problems last year. Something must have changed. Maybe it's Aramark that changed, or maybe it's that UML students suddenly have an unreasonable craving for buffalo chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks all the time. Either way, I wish the people who order stuff for B&W would get their act together. |
