Be a real man: run ClamWin. Or better yet, run Linux and don't worry about this type of thing.

Flame on.

Isn't Norton Anti-virus considered the best one on the market?? Wouldn't free software from AVG have spyware or something??

No, Norton Anti-Virus used to be the number one anti-virus. However over time its become a resource hog, even the most high end machines have issues running it. Norton also is the WORST at protecting you from Viruses and spyware, at my work weve run side by side comparisons of Norton, Mcafee, and AVG. Norton pretty much made its machine unusable after its first visit to myspace. Mcafee did a little better but eventually crashed the machine. The only one that did its job was AVG.

There are alternatives, but AVG updates the most frequently and uses minimal system resources.

So go with AVG

just make sure you remove any other Antivirus you have before you try installing it.
